Mr. Charles Quintal, President and CEO

Charles Quintal has over 30 years’ experience in corporate, structured and real estate finance and in managing various asset classes.

From 2008 to 2011, he was Chair of the ‘MAV 1’ Advisory Committee, a $15 billion trust holding investments of Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, Mouvement Desjardins, National Bank of Canada, PSP Investments and Alberta Treasury Branches.

Over the same period, as AVP at Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, Charles was responsible for turning around the Caisse’s $12.5 billion frozen ABCP Portfolio.

Prior to that, Charles oversaw the $1.2 billion ACE trust through which Société Générale’s Corporate and Investment Banking division ran its Canadian securitization business. He bought portfolios of auto loans and leases from major manufacturers as well as farm and construction equipment loans.

Charles was also Vice-President, Structured Finance, Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec and managed three public issues totaling $1.5 billion of Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (CMBS) sold on the Canadian capital market.

An Associate member of the Society of Actuaries, Charles graduated from Laval University’s Actuarial School and is a Certified Board Director. He also serves as a member of the Retirement Committee of the Quebec Association of Catholic Bishops.

 

Mr. Elliott Venessy, Financial Analyst


Bachelor in Economics | DESS in Corporate Finance

 

Born in Lyon (France), Elliott Venessy joined Quintal & Co. in May 2015 as financial analyst.

Elliott has the ideal profile to hold a financial analyst position within a brokerage firm. His experience has led him to develop a wide range of financial skills. In 2013, he joined the investment fund of Carleton University (Ottawa, Canada) as equity analyst. This position allowed him to perfect his knowledge and understanding of capital markets.

Afterwards, Elliott joined Société Générale’s wealth management division as part of a three-month internship. This position provided Elliott with first-hand knowledge concerning a wide range of issues and financing solutions related to private placements.

Elliott holds a Diplôme d’Études Supérieures Spécialisées (DESS) in Finance from ESG UQÀM (Montréal, Canada) and a DESS in Corporate Finance from the Jean Moulin Lyon III University (Lyon, France).

He is currently enrolled in a MSc Finance degree at ESG UQÀM.

Elliott is also in the process of obtaining the CFA designation and, as such, is candidate to the June 2016 CFA level II exam.

 

Mr. Madjid Moukhous, Financial Analyst

Madjid Moukhous joined Quintal & Co. in January 2016 as financial analyst.

It’s through experiences in Japan, France and Algeria that Madjid has built his international profile.

Madjid had the opportunity to confront himself to the investment process through his involvement in the Trading Club of Laval University.

He graduated from Laval University, in Canada, with an MBA in Finance and from IAE Lyon School of Management, in France, with a Msc in Corporate Finance.

Madjid is a CFA candidate and as such he has passed the exams for the level I and II.
